Here's a sophisticated beef recipe. It's not a lot more work, but tastes wonderful.

 4 beef tenderloin steaks (about 1" thick)
 1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil
 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
 1 teaspoon dried chives
 4 cloves garlic, minced

Combine the garlic and herbs and rub it into both sides of each steak.

Grill directly over medium heat until they are cooked to your preference (see notes for times).

Pull them from the grill, plate and cover them to rest. At least 10 minutes.

Serve with your favorite sides. (I recommend the bacon wrapped asparagus Dana posted!)

These are approximate times to cook the tenderloins.
Take the times and cut in half, for each side. Seven minutes will be 3 1/2 min per side.
Seven minutes will be rare, nine minutes will be medium, and eleven minutes will be well done.

Letting beef rest after cooking is very important. If you don't, you'll end up with a dry steak. Resting allows the juices to relax back into the meet and not run out on your plate when you cut into it.
